The moon really is an amazing thing, isn’t it? That big orb shining so brightly in the night sky, constantly changing in shape and colour depending on the season or even the day you look at it. Despite our advancements in space exploration, the moon remains a source of intrigue, shrouded in mystery regarding its behaviours and the secrets it holds.
Interestingly, the moon’s impact extends beyond the cosmic realm, exerting a tangible influence on Earth and its inhabitants. Yes, you read that correctly – the moon’s forces reach you not only as an individual but also as a business owner. Since humanity first gained consciousness we have relied on the moon, using it to track time and eventually forming the basis of our modern month. It’s formed the basis of many horror stories, werewolves anyone? 🐺✨and even been the basis of new words (lunatic, measure and crescent for example). We first thought it was a god, a celestial body sent to look over us and guide us through darkness. Over the centuries science has helped us understand the moon a little better, but there is still a huge amount of mystery to it.
We also have a much closer relationship with the moon than we think. It’s widely believed that the moon affects our behaviour, mood, sleeping patterns and mental state – it can even make us sick. Anyone who works with children or animals will tell you that they go wild around the time of the full moon!
It’s not really a surprise. One of the main facts we know about the moon is that it controls the ocean tides. The position of the moon at any one time determines where the water on the planet will be, and whether the tide is high or low. As human beings are 70% water, is it any surprise that the moon has some form of influence over us too?

As you can probably tell by now, I’m a big believer in the magic of the moon. That belief flows through my business life too, and I optimise my own business practices around the phases of the moon. I use the opportunities to set new goals each month and follow them through with the flow of energy, before resting, reviewing and making changes.
